I had a pair of E-Cues which lasted a year. In skate time that was like 5 years. I was mixed about its look, but functionally, they were superior. When I saw the Air Zoom I was reminded of the E-Cue so I grabbed 'em for skating. They have better padding aound the ankle but the plastic mesh surface around the toe seems weaker. I haven't been skating so I can't really say how they'll hold up
